At Joy Foster care our mission is to support children grow up in a safe and caring environment for them to reach their full potential.
The current care reforms in Kenya creates an opportunity for organization to continue supporting children beyond institutional care, which squarely centres within the mission and vision of Joy Foster Care.
Empowering Foster Families
We are working closely with the relevant government department and other stakeholders in the children’s sector to ensure that children who have lost parental care find an alternative family where they can experience love, security, enjoy their full rights and have a sustainable future.
The team in Kenya is committed in ensuring that families are identified, screened, trained and certified as foster parents. This ensures that children are placed in the right families with nurturing environment.
Currently, we have 6 children in 2 foster families in Matisi Village 71km from Eldoret city. This has been an exciting journey for both the children and families.
Our focus
The future is bright for Joy Foster Care with the renewed zeal from the team to expand the programs to 2 regions to reach more children through family empowerment. We intend to place more children under foster care with support from our partners and donors.
The ultimate goal is to ensure that no child is left behind to suffer in abusive environment or in the streets.
